Really? I thought they rarely appeared.. Doesn't seem like there scene, I wasn't going on any info I just assumed as I stopped buying NME about 2 years ago because I realised how much shite they write

NME generally write about anything. They seem to be quite interested in thrash and stuff like that at the moment. The main features are normally shite, but their reviews and features on up and coming acts feature the majority of genres. With regards to main features, they're normally pretty all encompassing if acts are big enough, the likes of Green Day, Metallica, Slipknot get featured, but obviously feature some acts more heavily.

Putting personal taste aside, I would say they have a similar size fanbase but Green Day have a massive stadium show and played Reading last year. Linkin Park havent played in the country for a few years so their "hardcore fans" would come just for them
