I suppose so, but on the whole The Cure's set wasn't admired this year. Not slating the band I love them, but because a lot of the crowd was much more of a younger audience, I just don't think they understood it or heard many of the songs before, I fear the same would occur with Depeche Mode...

haha, that's rich coming from a guy that said, they imagine they'll be nailed on or glasto if they are still about and don't even try and pretend you wasn't this person.

there's a difference between speculating on what might happen in the future, and talking bullshit about what has happened in the past.

V did not get the Roses because they offered more than R/L - which is what you said was the case.

If you had even the smallest inkling of how things work you'd know that.

what for?

pointing out that sabbath won't headline, pointing out a pattern in Blur's R&L touring plan which makes them likely or for pointing out The Prodigy as a header after you suggested yourself that Prod won't headline.

and yes, i am waiting for a I never suggest no such thing, as usual you're wrong.

but i'll make it clear the roses aren't headlining IOW but they are, i'll also make out others might be headlining R&L, when I know full well it's the cure lol

what for?

Speculation i one thing; I do that, you do that, we both fail sometimes (you much more than me - by about a million times. But that's by the by).

Making made up statements of facts which you have been doing is something else entirely.

It shows just how little you know about the music biz, and that your guesses about everything else are guess from a position of zero knowledge. Just names plucked from the air.

i also said ....

a million different and often conflicting things, so you can probably always present an "I said" for anything.

That doesn't alter the fact that you've shown how little you understand even the basics of the music biz. If you actually stopped to think for the smallest moment you'd see that those you like to believe know less than you know an infinite amount more.

Thats an interesting point you have made. So guys I was talking to was disapointed with there set at a festival I was at(wont mention the fest as tourette get his knickers in a twist) and also reviews ive seen of various festival appearences of the cure felt let down aswel.

Although the main reason was there wasnt much to look at, the cure were just there to belt out the tunes. I think people want more than that which is a shame, they want there lazers and big balloons like muse, kasabian do. This is a shame really its like asking bob dylan to come on stage in stilts and dancing with half naked ladies.

more lasers, big balloons etc etc usually means there trying to hide from there hideous music in my generalising opinion.

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
