They were on before Beyonce last time they were at T. There seems to be a misconception that T in the Park is populated by angry Scotophiles with Scottish flags painted on their face and Biffy t-shirts. I think they would rather play T than not; they're not suddenly too proud to sub.

I love Biffy but Mumford would sell alot more tickets... I think Biffy will headline a major fest soon but they would be the weakest headliner of the weekend... although arguably alot bigger than some former major fest headliners.

they would be incredibly a weak headliner, Melvin Benn said apparantly that Biffy weren't big enough to headline R&L, and whilst I like them, I'm much happier at the thought of Mumford doing it than Biffy.

When it comes to selling tickets, no brainer, Mumford could sell as much as anyone at the minute.

They remind me very much of a Biffy last year at R&L though, everyone thought them subbing Foo's was nailed on and they didn't even play, i think the same will happen this time and Mumford not play.

Most people though Biffy would take the year off from fests so they could come back next year and headline.

It was a while ago in an interview somewhere, said the same about Bloc Party but it's right. Biffy aren't big enough, if they headline, with a big uk tour 4/5 months before when possibles in Depeche Mode and Sabbath are playing too, it's incredibly weak, as weak as 2011 - at least they had Muse, Pulp come back and Strokes factor and MCR - who were clearly big enough.

what is fair to say is that i'm sure blue are playing vive latino next year? and they are playing oya, and whilst viva have had R&L headline acts some years, others they also haven't. Oya is a good option to look at subs though but not headers generally. Oya had a headliner and a sub at least that were subbing R&L this year but a header also played V. And the fact, it's only one header for Oya so far in Blur. Bjork played Oya 12 but were the one who didn't touch here so every chance one could be KOL/Rihanna

Did you actually read the interview yourself? I don't buy he would openly talk about bands like that when he usually twists word and keeps tight lipped and I just typed into google "melvin benn bloc party biffy clyro" and it's bringing any interviews up.

I really can't see both Depeche Mode & Sabbath flat out headlining.

same was said for The Cure last year. if Depeche Mode got 3rd on the fans vote poll for bands, that's saying something, ahead of Blur.

the young guys already have alt j and possibly foals on nme.

say they had arctic monkeys for the 3rd header, they also have a main stage act, with the added extra and dance stages, only needs some decent to them stuff to jump up and move about too and they are sold.

two of the headers will get the young one's interested but also the older crowd that still have a love for the fest, i am one of them but kinda decided this was a no year for me.

Where this interview with Melvin? If he did say that in an interview I doubt there would have been countless arguements about Bloc & Biffy not/are big enough to headline on here for the last year.
