Just seen someone tweet that they were chatting to Foals after their gig and they said they were headlining NME, seems like a stupid thing to lie about. Could defo see this happening, just makes complete sense really.

I can see that but sometimes it's not a lie and they are just stupid. I went to a gig and the band said they will back over in the summer and the next day I see someone post on here that the same band at the same gig announced they were playing R&L when they didn't say that as they basically added 2 & 2 and got 5.

I'd quite like to see Foals but if they headline the NME I can't see that I'll be there. The only currently rumoured headliner I wouldn't see is Mumfords, and I doubt Foals would clash with them. Maybe if The Prodigy headlined I'd see Foals over them.

I can appreciate your scepticism and he looks like a twat, regardless of this tweet I think they'll headline the NME, it just reminded me of this idea.

Not sure on a couple of placings though. Anberlin are playing the Wedge in Pompey for a tenner so I figured they'd be pretty low down (tour seems like pretty small venues). The Specials and Blondie are in midday slots similar to Madness the other year, which I reckon would go down well

I think we should just accept it now so we aren't disappointed when the Headliners turn out to be Mumford, Bloc Party and Metallica.

Also as amazing as System would be, I can't see this at Reading.

Just a quick poll, who do you reckon would go down better playing 3rd; Avenged Sevenfold or Placebo?

I'd prefer Placebo but I would check out Avenged as they are meant to be good live but I have my doubts as they just seem like screaming emo metal bullshit.

Yeah I remember watching a live DVD of Placebo and it not being too good, but then watched a stream of them at a festival in Europe and they were much better.

Plus I have a friend who saw A7X live and said they were fantastic.

Initially, the idea of Jake Bugg playing as high as 3rd

I actually think he's more of a draw to young people than Bloc Party now. As I fan of both acts I checked out ticket situations. I could have got Bloc Party tickets for Glasgow Academy on the door the night they played. Jake Bugg has already sold out the same venue for a gig next February.

Having said that I can see why people would think someone with one short album shouldn't be given that big a spot.
