Unless it was, say, Soundgarden as the third NME headliner, that'd have to be the weakest set of headliners for that stage ever, right? Personally I think Jake Bugg would be more suited to somewhere around 5th down on main.

I am probably well off but what about headlining the FR stage? its a bit like ed sheeran getting really popular pretty quickly last year. I think he has got such a big spot for Isle of Wight because he seems to always support the stones roses.

The Script and Bloc Party are likely to be subs, I think they're about that size, and Jake Bugg is on the same line as them in the announcement. I guess they could all be playing third.

He could be lower down and they could announce the sub later on, but even if that's the case the fact that they saw fit to give him the same position on the advert as two likely subs means they must think highly of him and consider him a big attraction, meaning even if it isn't subbing a better slot than most would have thought.

Yeah, considering Blondie are headlining the 2nd stage I don't think that poster is done on positions.

I reckon Jake Bugg will be 3rd down (same slot as Maccabees) and Primal Scream will sub the Roses.

It's entirely likely that those aren't the positions, but he's clearly a big name for them (no matter how random it may be The Farm or Republica would never be on the first line) and even third would be a big ask.

Can you imagine the reaction if he was announced to play third at R&L?
