Yeah the only new direction is suggested at by the three-day dance tent and the three-day hip hop/grime tent. I can't see how that will influence the main stages much, I think they'll keep it the roughly same. Deftones are a standard booking, Alt-J played this year and red hot NME favourites playing high up the R1/NME is nothing new.

There's clearly a play to diversify and capture more music that is relevant to todays youth (and as much as I dislike it it's something that R&L should be doing) but I think it'll stay on the periphery initially. We'll still get the same old shit on the main stage.

Anyone think that Alt-J 'headlining' could be another very loose use of the English language by Melvin and by the time March rolls around they could actually be the Sunday night 'co-headliners' along with the dance act?
