Indeed, loads like that on Twitter. They all claim to like the same bands to look "Indie": Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, Joy Division, The Jam, The Libertines. I mean, I like all those bands, but they're not the be-all, end-all of music.

http://twitter.com/totes_Indie is a brilliant send up of these types of people.

I have indeed heard of, and really like, Alt-J but I just don't think they're big enough to headline the NME stage. They would be a good sub but I just think the bump up to headliner from not even appearing on it last year is too much in one go. Plus, if DM and Sabbath headlined it would definitely put me off - I wouldn't mind if there were indeed strong NME headliners to make up for it, but i don't think i'll be paying £200 if the rest of the NME headliners are about as strong as Alt-J. I'm 17, and don't mind Wiley but I don't think Wiley/ Skepta etc. should be the acts aimed at the younger age ranges, as it doesn't particularly appeal to me. Hmm, I know it's only an early announcement but it's very disappointing.

Calling it would be a bit far. But I defo mentioned it in a set of 3 headers and put the question out how it would look. Remember getting a would love that. In fact, the debate about them went on for ages, until someone said, this isn't actually serious is it
