Also gven that the pre-sale deposit scheme has to be paid in March suggests that's when the 2013 price tickets go on sale and therefore when the announcement is, can't see any other reason why they'd choose March other than wanting the 2012 price tickets all paid for befire the 2013 price ones go on sale.

March is a month of 31 days. There's a 31:1 chance of me being right that the announcement date might have changed.

Great performance, I think they deserved the Mercury prize, surprised they're headlining but i'll be seeing them regardless.

What I heard was that they were "in talks". I've no idea where those talks led.

It's fairly impressive considering that's part of an extensive tour which they've compltely sold out. It also sold out before they won the mercury prize and had a cover on NME. I don't see how much more a band could do to justify headlining the 2nd stage after being virtual unknown at the start of the year. Personally I think theyre great, though saw them several times this summer so not particularly inested in them playing the same set next year.

Yeah it's impressive, but it's not the kind of thing that should make you think they're definitely headliners given that other bands have done it and not headlined.

Deftones on the main stage again is disappointing. I've watched them twice there now and always been underwhelmed, never come across that well and haven't played much old stuff. I was hoping for a better sound in the tent and a longer set to give them more time to slip some oldies in.

That's true, and I'm not even a fan of them. Although this person can't be older than sixteen and clearly reads the NME so surely they must know of them?
