Have Korn been ruled out? I know they were rumoured a while back, but they seem the most logical special guests seeing as they're touring at the mo, so there's a reason for them not to be announced.

Yeah, they're a possibility, don't seem to be anywhere else and I don't think there's much space for them at Reading. There was that rumour from the guardian a while back about Skrillex playing, perhaps they'll both appear to do a joint-set of some sorts.

Ah, makes sense Tenacious D to pbe held back until after Download then. Still, Korn for special guests would add some variety if placed under Kiss. Or did you mean Korn as well as Tenacious D??

So do we reckon there are any bands set to slot into higher slots on the main stage (other then under KISS) or is just smaller bands now?

There's still quite a lot of bigger slots left, think there's about 8 or so Mainstage slots left in total, including the Sub to Tim Minchin and Kiss, who will both be big bands.

I'm almost certain it'll be Korn playing under Kiss, there's no one else that there would be a reason to delay the announcement!

Someone asked last Friday and they said something along the lines of (on twitter) they thought there might have been one this monday but heard nay, so I guess they were aiming to try and have one ready for monday (to stay in line with announcing every 2 weeks), guessing it could be later in the week though, I know a website (Amplified TV) said they are going to Soni HQ today to interview Galbraith and you could ask questions on twitter and stuff, so could be like last time and he'll give out an announcement date via an interview.

Lead singer from The Dangerous Summer has self confirmed they're playing on Twitter earlier, presumably Red Bull Stage.

I expect more to follow very soon...

Alas, there was nothing remotely "dangerous" about them, sounded like radio friendly college rock to me.

Compared to previous years, both this forum and the official Soni forums are pretty quiet. Unlike previous years there seems to be little in the way of any excitement for High Vol... sorry, Sonisphere...
