Does sound like Brexit 😛 Yes, maybe...or maybe they will be ok...maybe they eventually will join the EU, maybe they will become part of Scandinavia (join Nordic council). Ireland did ok. LJS
The issue of whether Scotland is viable/better off/ worse off is of little importance if we don't get a vote. The only issue that matters today is the fact that Westminster refuses to recognise the clear mandate that the Scottish government has to hold a second indyref. I have, you still see homeless beggars on the streets, 100 - 200 krona to see a doctor in Sweden. Denmark has just labelled Syria a safe country so it can send all its refugees back etc.. they have the same issues we have. A limited amount of resources to go around and they have to choose where those are targeted.

Doesn't Sturgeon have tax raising powers to spend on stuff like that? That's on top of the 11% above UK average spend she already gets. I agree with you Scotland seems in a bad way but I'd lay the blame at those in charge in Scotland. Edited June 29, 2022 by lost
