Randomly out the blue guys but Rockness announcement be back due to anything to do with Pulp?

Recent twitter from them has said, so you think this is over.

They played R&L, Electric Picnic, T, Wireless and a couple of their own after gigs.

They are not a Download or Sonisphere band.

I know T covers Scotland but Rockness would be a smaller fest on a UK exclusive headline show.

Though Lattitude may be an option too

After seeing them last year at Leeds I would love to see them again.

One of the best bands I have seen, Common people closing the festival was just magical. But I don't see it happening. I think they might do a small tour but not festivals again. I could be very wrong though.

I think the delay in announcing headliners could be to do with Snow Patrol not selling out at SECC.

Noticed that The Killers and Bloc Party have both announced new albums in the last week or so. Anyone reckon either of them could be a shout for Rockness? I reckon either of them could headline the festival and the delay of announcement could have been due to them wanting to wait until 2012 to confirm their new albums? No evidence to support this at all, just putting it out there.

Would love to see Bloc Party, I think they would be a good headliner for the Friday. Snow Patrol can GTF, I personally think they are guff. Some good songs and that, but not for headlining Rockness.

As much as everyone hates them, Swedish House Mafia would put on a good show. Anyone that saw them at titp last year would agree. I have the full set on my iTunes and they actually play a good mix.

Actually no chance, but I'd love to see Foo Fighters as the Rock headliner for Rockness.

Would quite like Bloc Party at Rockness, have enough to appeal to indie and dance crowds too. Mentioned in the predictions thread that I think New Order could be one of the headliners too. As much as people would object too it Snow Patrol could probably headline Rockness, in the same type of slot as Paulo Nutini etc

    • All of these were published in July of their respective year. Appreciate the festival is a little later than normal but it must surely be live in the next 48 hours? The first events start in five days! 🤣
    • Took the words out of my mouth. He never misses.   Definitely adds fuel to the fire.
    • Gavin Leigh Davis on Instagram, the Fabrizio Romano of tour leaks, says Sam Fender outdoor shows and likely festivals next year. Didn't explicitly mention Glastonbury but adds more to the rumour
    • I think a lot of you guys don't see Tate McRae as headliner material however she was originally billed to play back in 2025 and had to pull out (https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/glastonbury-2025-headliners-revealed-tickets-line-up-1235915362/). She sold out out all of her arena shows in 2025 and just brought in huge crowds at Oshega and Lollapalooza. Given that she's gearing up to release the second album it lines her up for a tour run in her same gap as she's usually over here over Glaso weekend. I wouldn't rule her out.
    • I’d expect U2 & Muse to be options too.
