its the usual. some very popular acts already confirmed, few classics, few new ones. the usual balance. trying to get it out before xmas but could go jan depending on coordinating the headline press restrictions and other commitments etc etc

She is hot property just now, she will sell out.

I would imagine she will headline Bestival this year, and perhaps the NME stage at T.. or similar positions at other festivals

I would imagine that Rob da Bank has better taste than to book pop pap screech as a headliner.

I would also imagine that headlining Bestival is too small a gig for her now (it would have been about right in 2010), as is the 2nd stage at any festival.

She'll be headlining fests of the V & T sort of size. I'll be hugely surprised if she isn't.

Florence would be a huge act for the likes of Rockness imo, like most think she will end up at T though, could easily headline NME at the moment. Think her arena tour will sell fairly quickly also.

As for the first announcement, I'd be happy enough with the three main headliners and Justice (if they arent headlining themselves, or have been stolen by T...) and one or two other acts before Christmas to tempt me.

Rob Da Bank has booked her before. Whislt i generally like bestival line ups, he does sometimes go for pap (Pendulum e.t.c). FATM is probably the same size roughly as Amy Winehouse was when she headlined.

It's one thing booking an up and coming pop pap act as filler, it's another thing entirely to book them as headliner.

And there's a huge difference with Winebucket: she was talented, and got to where she was on the basis of that talent and not marketing and hype.

i had never heard of florence and the machine and was at T in 2009. my mate asked if id go with him to see her cause no one else would. she was just in a wee tent, i didnt know any of the songs, just walked in.

One of the best gigs i've ever been too.
