Neil, is it the last of the major pre-August UK festivals to announce?

nope, Global Gathering hasn't announced yet, and of course Reading/Leeds. There may be others too, can't think of any tho.

Neil do you think it's possible HRC & Hop Farm are both waiting on the same band? Fleetwood Mac springs to mind?

Possibly even the Rolling Stones?

Think it will happen when it happens with regards to the lineup, but can't say it's not frustrating.

Its the lack of communication thats annoying. I dont really care whos playing.. their twitter is dorment and their FB is very slow...last message was about Vince not having a FB account.

Now with every main contender festival announced pretty much Hop Farm must surely be not far behind. I don't mind the way but they could least keep us up to date with whats going on

I'm as patient as the next man but I really do wish they'd get on with it. I'm struggling to think who the headliners are going to be now. How do you top Eagles and Prince?

John Fogarty would have been amazing, or any of the headliners from Isle of Wight.

Vince seems to pull out a coup every year, hopefully it's the Stones this year...

I haven't heard any rumblings for a while. I'd love to see them.

I've no idea what the band is doing but I think it's hugely unlikely they'd be announced for both Hop Famr and HRC - it would be one or the other.

This was my hunch, but Neil shot it down. Wouldn't be the first time he's been wrong though.

I guess we'll see. I have no real evidence though, other than I do seem to recall last year that some high up live nation official (I can't remember who!?) said that 2012 ticket sales would rely on Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac & Van Halen or something along those lines? So they maybe due to tour? Who knows.

Maybe he's being genuine, in which case we can rule them out of both Hop Farm &/or HRC.

Or maybe they're just saying it to cause a bigger "surprise" factor if they do indeed tour? It wouldn't be the first time a band has lied about not getting back together to get more publicity.

Well on the IOW forums John Giddings has said in relation to a hop farm question that the hop farm is still trying to get its headliners and if they don't get decent acts he doesn't think they will do it

I'm surprised by that & a little unsure as to how far I believe it, Vince strikes me as a man with a hell of a lot of connections, perhaps one headliner is yet to be booked? but all 3 would just be ludicrous at this stage.
