For a country who used to produce a load of good keepers, the euro 2012 ones are by far the worst I have ever seen england pick. You know things are bed when you havent even heard of the standby. I know backup keeper isnt a glamarous job but other nations dont seem to have as many goalie retirements.

Foster and Ruddy were both on loan at wrexham, foster was amazing, ruddy was average. Fosters retirement us confusing, he is not even 30 and its not like he has much competition for 2nd choice. Its got to be a bit shit when you know you have no real chance of playing unless of a sending of or injury and how many times does a goalie get injured.

At least with another position alot of its tactical, fresh pair of legs and usually 2 positions you can be bought on for.
