Just watched the Everton match.. 3 players off injured Jagielka, Osman, and Rodwell if they are serious I could see them going down as they have nothing else, Fellaini was already out, add to that Arteta and pienaar sold last year and not replaced they have simply run out of players.. Kenwrights asset stripping finally catching up.. Spurs are going to have a field day.

Just watching Newcastle on match of the day and Newcastle look very good. Still don't understand the keeper rotation, to me lack of continuity hinders building of a strong defensive unit.

Newcastle really stepped up and went for it. The crowd were the 12th man. If only they showed the same attitude in every game, they would be very hard to beat.

Frustrating from a Man Utd point of view. Went through periods of looking threatening and dominating possession and then sucker-punched by two brilliant shots that any goalkeeper would struggle to save. Was always gonna be a hard one and the sides forced rotations from injuries is showing its problems now.

On the bright side, we are still only 3 points off the top. It is all set up nicely for the end of this season if Tottenham, Utd and City keep picking up similar points.

They've just brought a couple (if not more?) of players in, tho Donovan is only for 8 weeks. And the rumour is that Pienaar is going back to Everton on loan for the rest of the season.

Sorry .... more Suarez....

There's an article in today's Guardian which is no way supportive of Suarez or Liverpool in it's overall tone, here ...

.... which reveals a few new things (to me if not you).

It says that Evra changed his allegations of what went on between what he first reported and what he told the panel by quite a substantial amount.

It also says that Evra got treatment from the panel which wasn't allowed Suarez, namely to give his evidence while viewing videos of the match. This allowed Evra to give a version of events which matched the videos (a different version from his original allegations, don't forget), while the fact that Suarez's evidence didn't match the videos was one of the major factors for the panel concluding that he was giving a false version of events.

If these things are true then I can understand Liverpool's anger at the whole process, and it explains a lot about their statements both when the verdict was announced and when the report was issued.

And if these things are true then it makes the panel's conclusions pretty much worthless (not necessarily wrong with the conclusion they reached, but wrong in the manner they reached it).

the crunch is going to come in the next 18 months as cahill, Neville, saha and distin all need replacing due to age. I actually don't think relegation would be the end of the world as it seems to have speeded up Newcastles rebuilding putting them at the top of the also rans

I guess the situation can't go on forever as it is. Everyone knows the club is skint, and Kenwright seems to have genuinely been trying to get new investment in &/or sell his stake - but it needs someone with money to come in.

But even as a skint club I don't think they're going to have too much difficulty attracting new decent players, even if they're on the cheap. Their Prem stability and decent finishing positions helps with that as does Moyes as manager, and decent players going there will know they'll get games which they might not at other clubs. Plus it's a great shop window for players with ambition.

I think there's other prem clubs likely to sink financially before Everton (Bolton comes to mind), because while Everton have been skint for ages they've not been holding their position by borrowing ever-more money. And they have gates that other clubs would kill for.

Interesting comment from marcotti that if an Italian side had an injury list like man u they would be asking serious questions about the medical/fitness team. Wonder if he has a point, especially after the hargreaves comments.

That's why this report is not fact or proof of anything in my opinion. it doesn't clear Suarez but it certainly does not condemn him either.

That's very defensive response, I think the medical team should be accountable as should the players, managed, stewards and office staff. I wouldn't just assume because fergie says they are great that they automatically are. I haven't a clue on the merits of medical staff at different clubs but have no doubt some are better than others.
