Unfortunately in the sense that I'd rather keep him. I don't think his age will deter Tottenham, I think it will just force WHU to accept a lower offer, as getting his wage off the bill is more important than an extra few bucks income from a higher transfer fee.

I.e. Tottenham hold all the cards, we are desperate to sell.

Thought some of you lot might find this interesting...

I think someone should inform Rooney that "Corporation Tax" is a company tax and not a personal one... <_<

... and then people like you don't accept that that there's any relevance to the riots to the likes of Rooney avoiding £600k in taxes on his already huge income, while the rest of us are struggling to get by on a tiny fraction of the tax he's put into his pocket (and left the rest of us to have to pay it instead).

Yeah, we're all in this together, and there's nothing unfair about any of society's structures to make people think "f**k it all, let's riot".

I think kenny summed it up best when he said "Arsenal were under strength, but thats not my problem". I hope for arsenals sake they take one positive thing from the result and thats the fact they are in dreamworld if they think they can finish any better than 6th with the current squad. Arsenal are one of the biggest teams in the world and looking at current premiership sides, there are probably only 5 or 6 sides with weaker benches.

As for the newcastle result, i cant help but think what sunderland could do if they let bruce buy the players and someone else manage the team.

What did you think to Martin Kelly? I think he looks like a real prospect - I'd play him over Johnson every time, very tidy at the back, and even managed to get forward and run onto a Carroll lay-off.

Very promising player indeed.

As for Carroll - I think he did okay, but it seems that he's the target every single time they take a set piece meaning he's double marked all the time. Liverpool need to vary their set pieces a bit more, in which case they may have more success. Carroll will be fine - a constant threat.

I know both goals could have been called offside (first for sure) and they had injuries yada yada... I agree Arsenal simply aren't good enough. Their fans tend to bleat on about other teams paying over the odds for players but those teams are improving. If Nasri's move goes through it's gotta be a big end to the transfer window.

Think they've got Man Utd away next. They could be on one point after three games. Ouch.
