For those interested, still tickets going in some of the lower price tiers - but not the lowest - for the Mon 16th date.

It appears a few acts have so far struggled to sweep their Spurs shows. Plenty still going for 50 Cent and Catfish and the Bottlemen too, though - and this may be a sign of the end times - Imagine Dragons have pretty much sold out two shows.

A month later and still a very good slate of seats for that final show.

Time to get setlisting. Expecting most if not all of Cowboy Carter, but will be curious to see how much of Renaissance is retained.

well the nice thing is the resale market tanked here so  I can see her for $25 if I want now.

Why has her popularity tanked so much since the Renaissance tour?  Tickets for that were like gold dust.

If it was just this side of the pond I could kind of understand - country isn't so big here, so maybe Cowboy Carter isn't as popular.  But in the US too?

Think there is a lot of dates, plus she toured last year so it’s not like it’s been a few years and also the prices are crazy so the casual fan isn’t as desperate to go.

Our economy is sh*t and dynamic pricing kills the market. Resellers took a big gamble thinking this was gonna take off and they got it wrong. It happens.  And I mean 5 shows in LA alone really kills the market. We had 3 last time and they were way sold out and she couldve added a 4th but didnt. People also held out for Vegas thinking it was the Sphere and it wasnt, so they just settled for that too. Its not even about popularity, its just if people dont have money theyre not gonna bother. And if things are priced wrong, they will not buy tickets. Again, resellers shot themselves in the foot and the smart folk will get the best pay off cause of it. Remember that resale markets being that extreme dont mean a tour is selling sh*tty. Like, tickets got sold, the artist is getting money, but the fans can win cause the sellers gotta take the loss. Last night my Gf went to see Snow Patrol in a 2000 cap theater. It was sold out on Ticketmaster and for some reason resale dropped to $15  for a standing ticket. Face value was $50. So what gives? Resellers figured wrong and had to take the loss.

Economic factors are definitely causing one aspect, and the price of staging shows in the United Kingdom for overseas artists is also through the roof too - thanks, Brexit!.

In a way, I understand some of the extortionate tags attached to US megastars coming here, though I do not like them. Sadly, when there are people who will pay - and yes, I have definitely fed into this problem in the past, as I am fortunate - then they're not going to be checked, so to speak.

Anyway, put Halo in the setlist please.

No Halo, sadly, but a step up on the Renaissance run as a whole - though the proportion and disposal of hits definitely remained secondary to the sheer egotism on display.

I'll say this - she has the pipes and she has a spectacle. But time to take a leaf out of the greatest hits playbook and start tweaking accordingly.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
