Just to freshen the thread up a bit, I had a dream on the plane last night that Aerosmith were the third headliner...

Disclaimer: I also had a separate dream about me and Heidi Klum, so they are not always guaranteed to come true!

Well, the Latitude line-up is hardly stellar, is it? (With the obvious exception of Kraftwerk). Foals headlining?? Made me think about Neil's comment that potential acts for third headliner included some you wouldn't expect to see that high up.

Maybe this year is going to be a lean one after all..

Would have liked to have seen Beach House at Glastonbury though - especially with Leland Palmer in tow:http://youtu.be/OS6duOoxctw

Yup, seems those ones just under the proper biggies are using it loads this year. Fecking annoying if you ask me.

and Yannis makes some good points about Festivals, they really need to start taking more punts on younger bands to stop the pool drying up. As much I'd like to see Pulp headline Glastonbury.and even to an extent apart from them having new material Muse again. It's already been done and it's no good for the future.

Of course. There are too many festivals and they need to be competitive, which drives down the quality of nearly all of them.

A scenario which is played out continually within capitalism - the best example being TV.

Capitalist competition is something which carries it's own hidden costs, which has ignorant (or selfish) people screaming "COMMUNIST" if it's ever pointed out too strongly. ;)

    • If Werchter pulled in Blink and Foos plus like Sabrina if she's touring and got System if they are I'd be more inclined to try it vs RIP if they got Blink, Foos and System. I don't at the moment, maybe reflection will be different, think that RIP is greatly setup for overseas travelling over. It feels more like currently day festival days with a camping over separate rather than hotel as its included.
    • I think many US people are fed up with the US and have definitely discovered how amazing it is to come to Barcelona for a better experience and way cheaper than back home.   Surely PS doesnt set up a huge commercial festival only to not put in place a system where QR codes can’t be re-used?
    • They'll get Foo Fighters as well.
    • That as a surprise along with The Cure is the best part of the lineup so far.   Probably means though she's about next year again.
    • I also dont think Deftones will tour next year.   But I think RIP will have both Foos and Blink and if SOAD fo festivals that will be your 3.
