The Prodigy have no tour dates set between 9th June and 4th July - in Germany for Rock Am Ring 7th-9th June and then Austria on the 4th July. I know it's not much to go on really but they could possibly come back between then to headline The Other Stage one day?

a part of me doesn't want the Stones to play just so we can see who their actual replacements are - Radiohead seem to be everybody's frontrunners, and my god would i love it, but there's been no real indication that it is actually them (or whether they do in fact have a 'back up' for the Stones)

my excitement for the Stones possibly playing has gone way down as of late. when they played their 50th anniversary shows i was super excited but as time's passed i just keep thinking 'they'll probably be very shit'. not that that'd stop me from watching them, mind. i just couldn't care less if they're there or not (but only if there's an incredible band in their place. not Kasabian / Kings Of Leon / The Killers (the 3 K's of musical boredom)

well Flea is still doing Chili Pepper shit so that's obviously a non-issue. i'll be happy if they're on the lineup, but i still expect Rolling Stones to be there and Gaga to be on the Sunday. but if the Stones do pull out... well i just can't think of another 'go-to' act that's more obvious than them

    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
    • Has Glastonbury already got council permission for that 5 year run?
    • This keeps being mentionned but it only happened because Dua's Europe Tour was rescheduled due to Covid. Dua's arena show was initially planned for October 2021 but got rescheduled to May 2022 a month after the PS2022 lineup was announced.   I hope Massive Attack and Doja get to come back. I guess it'll depend whether they have a summer tour planned next year.
