Stevie Nicks

From reading that posting, I'm thinking that in Stevie's drug impacted brain, Hard Rock Calling=Glastonbury and Hyde Park=Worthy Farm. They're both British festivals with large crowds, so what's the difference to her.

It's either that, or she's the special guest on the Park stage. I realize she's a big name performer, but I don't see her booking as something so major, that they want to keep her secret, or announce her as a late addition.

If she is on the Park stage, I hope it's Saturday night.

So Saturday at the park then?

Emily's 'headliner material big enough that we might have to close the field'?

Can't see it being anywhere in Shangri-La - H&S nightmare

If you look back to post No. 23 on April 9th, I'd already flagged up the rather circular nature of the 'info' . The rumour moved up a level when Perez Hilton got his paws on it.

whatever those bits might be, the person running the stevie nicks news website tells me that she has something far more substantial that puts Stevie as playing Glastonbury.

If everything she's told me is true, and if her info hasn't been faked (which is possible, but probably unlikely in the full circumstances of what I've been told), then Stevie is playing Glastonbury.

In Neil We Trust

You've come through too many times for me to doubt you.... fingers crossed :)

Do please be aware that while I think it's quite possible that Stevie will play, it's not something I've got enough belief in to mark her as a 'tbc' on the line-up page here.

I wouldn't put any money on her popping up over the weekend. I can't see her being the special guest. She's not a particular friend of the festival is she? Can't see that Fleetwood have ever played.

She has an album to promote. She wants publicity. Unless her publicist has somehow been convinced that a Park "Special Guest" slot is of more note than playing 4th/5th down on Pyrimid (it isn't, not in terms of album promotion anyway). . .

They don't normally throw acts on at the end do they? To the main line up, unless there's been a sudden need to change? I know Glastonbury itself doesn't really need to announce her to add more weight for its personal ticket sales or anything .. so maybe they are keeping her under wraps for now for a joint announcement with a couple of other additions?

Who knows, but I am not gonna get my hopes up. If she's just slotted in somewhere and I miss her, I will be gutted. Announce her or kill the rumour please (not aimed at you Neil).

At the same time as England were getting hammered by the Krauts on the Avalon (I think) - my girlfriend will never forgive me for staying in the football field whilst she went on her own. Actually, much as they're not my favourite band in the world, neither will I!!!

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
