'News just in – Festival Republic Stage announcement coming your way next Tuesday. BOOM'

I think it's doubtful they will announced other stages but if TD are playing i think they will be announced tomorrow.

I think if Tenacious D are playing they'll be announced tomorrow, as it's the first announcement after Download, and it would be the same concept as them filling in the gaps (Los Campesinos!, Mastodon and Mark Lanegan) with the NME Stage announcement.

However, saying that, I don't think they'll play.

Edit: Didn't realise that said 'next Tuesday', and thought Vieuphoria's pot was a response to your point about Tenacious D. Anyway, that's annoying, I was looking forward to it.

Ten D could be below Enter Shikari, no reason a band on in the middle of the day can't have big crowds. They can be paid just as much as those higher up but just appear earlier. The main stage doesn't have a lower capacity just cos the sun is up.

Its taken me a while to find this year band who stands out the most to me at Leeds but today...Dry The River have just came out off nowhere and they are astonishing!

Cannot Wait, it was close to being The Maccabees because Given to The Wind is beautiful but Shallow Bed is the best album ive listened to this year!

Cannot wait now!

    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
