david bowie, hammersmith 1973 for me. The farewell ziggy stardust gig.

The end where he says it's the last gig they'll ever do, then straight into rock n roll suicide is sensational, I cant imagine what it must have been like to be there (though if I had been around in those days I probably wouldnt have been there anyway as it wasnt "cool" for men to like bowie back then).

Also, the track my death is possibly the greatest thing I've ever heard.

Well worth picking up the CD of this gig, one of my most listened to records

I regret missing Nirvana and Pearl Jam in 91 at the Riverside and Soundgarden at The Marquee in 90. Also The Cult, Pearl Jam and L7 playing on the same line up in London in 92.

The one I would've liked to have seen given omnisciece would be the Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Swerevedriver gig at the Unicorn in 91.

Joe Strummer playing Winter Gardens, Blackpool shortly before he died. I knew at the time I should have gone but couldn't be arsed thinking i'd catch him another time. Then the great man goes and turns his toes up a few weeks later.

Has anyone said Woodstock yet?

Edit: Damn you Ed209. That old last comment of the previous page trick.

I was at Wembley for Queen in '86 though. Sang so much I couldn't speak for about three days afterwards.

    • 1000% agree with this. I was there last night, ridiculous how good he was.
    • Hi Everyone!   I need your help. I'm trying work out who was playing at The Wishing Well at 3am on the Monday morning at the 2025 festival - this was once the official setlist had ended. The music was down tempo, bass heavy, kept evolving, just mesmerising. Anyone have any ideas? and/or was there as well?
