One act only - got to be possible and explain why :D

For me it's REM. One band I've never seen and wanted to for years. Had tickets and flights booked to see REM in Hyde Park (and the same weekend was the British GP) - about to fly out, and the Thursday was the dreadful 7.7 London Bombings.

REM was cancelled- we still flew over but went to see a show instead and the British GP

Never had a chance to see them since and after waiting 10 years only to not get to see them they are the top of my wish list

Which one band is on your wish list and why?

Sat here watching 2003 Glastonbury clips and they looked awesome. Was anyone there and were they as great as they looked on TV?

Chems...just cos.

Leftfield...missed them in 2000 (as in wasn't there!) Want to experience the bass of their show at the Other Stage.

Daft Punk...missed their DJ set way back in 97 and they are truly truly epic live. Sunday closing unless up against...

Prince! Needs no explanation!

Gaaahhhh...fail...ALL of the above!!!

I beleive I have been at at least 2 G's when REM have played. I vaguely remember knowing about one of the times but no recollection of even hearing they were there at the other. Sometime in the 90s? Perhaps again in the early 00s? I know I was nowhere near either shows when they happened. Do recall people returning saying meh. Sorry FunkyFairy.

OK, well Radiohead are either going to be there or not be there and nothing I could wish for would sway them, so let me change my vote to :

White Rabbits

Percussion Drum is an awesome song live!

I seen R.E.M close the main stage a couple of years again at T and they were Phenominal! :D xx

    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
    • Norwich times if anyone is interested
