The Stones will not make a decision about live dates until December - they always work the same way. They have a get together in December to decide any live appearances or tour details for the following year.

There's new that they are holding one here:

On 10th December, they wouldn't confirm an appearance before that meeting, with the three headliners in 'the bag' it makes them appearing unlikely.

I was going to stay away from the speculation threads until I get a ticket but...

Rolling Stone will publish an exclusive excerpt from Keith Richard’s long awaited memoir Life on October 15, eleven days before the eagerly anticipated book hits stores on October 26. The 10,000 word excerpt will cover the early days of the Rolling Stones, Keith’s trip to Tangiers in 1967 where he stole Anita Pallenberg from bandmate Brian Jones and tales of excess from the Stones’ infamous 1972 U.S. tour. "You can’t imagine that this book could be any better than it is," says Rolling Stone Managing Editor Will Dana. "Keith holds nothing back. It’s funny, gossipy, profane and moving and by the time you finish it you feel like you’re friends with Keith Richards. Outside of Bob Dylan’s Chronicles, it’s probably the best rock memoir ever written." Richards, who will appear on the cover of the magazine, also spoke with Rolling Stone’s David Fricke about the book and the Stones’ upcoming plans, strongly hinting that the band will be active in 2011.

Eminem would be interesting. Also would make a nice change of tempo I think.

And really.... they might sound similar and been pseudo-intellectual, but it's pretty offensive to a band like Radiohead to class them alongside Coldplay.

My guess would be:

U2, Radiohead, Prince

I would hope for:

Stones, Eminem, Radiohead.

I've been saying it'll be the stones since july also, however I wouldn't personally be going to see them (made up for all those who would go and have a great night though, same deal as stevie for me).

I've yet to see Radiohead at glasto, so would be amazing to finally get to see that (much like finally getting to see muse this year) and based on the crowd's reaction to the edge this year I think U2 will be epic. A band I'd never normally go out of my way to see, but it is all about being part of that incredibly enthusiastic, huge crowd of grinning faces (madness in '09!)

I'd love to see prince, I saw him in his heyday and I'm sure he can still give a great performance of energy and accomplishment.

What happened to the REM rumours? I'd love to see them as other stage headliners or lower down the bill.

What I don't want is "this years artic monkeys" middle of the road indie band, giving a forgetable performance. Or Kasabian.

Would really like it to be:

U2

Kylie

Prince

The reason why I put Kylie on there is because usually on the saturday I do something a bit more adventurous and have a fantastic night. For example last year I saw Hot Chip and The Flaming Lips and had one of the best nights. (Havn't listened to a Hot Chip record since mind), but next year I want to have a night in Shangri La so Saturday would be ideal and if Kylie was to play it would mean I could arrive early.

If Radiohead played the Saturday then I would absolutely have to go to the Pyramid stage as they are one of my all time favourite bands.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
