Orbital's 20th anniversary last year.

Dancing to Dee-lite in a bar when it comes on and realising it was released in 1990.

Any early Prodigy tunes but knowing that when I am in my old people's home in the far future, the music being played in'exercise time' will be the Prodigy...cos I will make it so! NO Glen Miller in my home daddio!!!

Finally getting around to watch Human League at Guilfest this summer and they are my earliest musical memory. (I was 3 in 1981)!

Been attending Glastonbury since the previous big anniversary celebration in 1995...and most of the music I watched or heard at the fest was from around that period!!! Retro a go go!

My son applying for his provisional driving licence

Being able to say something like, I knew that person 20 years ago.

Looking at universities for afore mentioned son.

Seeing people with babies and knowing i'll never hold my own again (not that i want one, i just liked holding mine)

Realising my own parents are not middle aged anymore.

knowing that i find it really hard to have late nights on a school night!

Realising that news readers are the same age as me or sometimes even younger!

Seeing all my young cousins that I've know since they were babies, head off to and graduate from university.

That I'd rather stay in with a nice meal and a bottle of red at a weekend than go to the pub.

Not knowing most of the artists in the music charts.

Having a mortgage.

Lables don't run gigs, big shows are normally get better support bands anyway. I've seen Skindred, King Blues, Natty, Against Me!, Big D & The Kids Tables, Streetlight Manifesto, 80's Matchbox B-Line Diseaster etc. smallish bands I'd want to see anyway.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
