last year everybody said ticket day was going to be a nightmare due to it being the 40th and the possible lineup rumours, in all it wasn't that bad, if you look at some of the threads from that day people were still able to buy tickets into the afternoon. Yes it was released that all of them sold out in a day but there were at least 2/3 ticket resale days after christmas.

If you can be organised, be ready and be patient and ticket day can be a pleasant experience. I was buzzing all day after getting mine last year for my first Glastonbury and i am already buzzing at the thought of getting tickets again.

bring it on.

Hopefully no more rumours of bands will turn up, its looking to be harder and harder. Can't believe Micheal has come out and said his trying get u2 back again, witth it like that a lot more people will probs try getting tickets than if they were just rumoured.

Slightly worried this year, more so than last year. Theres about 12ish people I've spoken to who want to go (on top of the usual five) so it's gonna be a bit of a logistical nightmare compared to the last two where we've only had a small number of us going.

Bump.

So, how much notice do they usually give before the tickets go on sale?

If I need to guarantee a Sunday off I need at least a months notice and I don't really want to book a whole month of Sundays off because it's double time and Glastonbury can be expensive (if you do it properly :D ).

My money is on the 3rd October so I've already sorted that, but asking for 4 Sundays in a row just in case, though technically allowed, may be considered as extracting the urine somewhat.

Also, I've somehow managed to register myself as a MrsZigster rather than MrZigster. Do you think a picky steward may decline my entry over something trivial like that?

How much were the kids tickets last year? Number 1 son will be 13 next year so will no longer get in free. Not that I took him but I would have done if he hadn't been taking exams at the same time.

In a totally unrelated question, how tight are they on ID for kids? If you don't have any and they think the kid is older than 12, what do they do? Send you on your way or let you pay for the kid to get in? I wouldn't like to think of someone's 13 year old son hitching 400 miles home.

Bugger....i'm climbing ben bloody nevis that weekend so not near a pc

Anyone can give an educated guess as to the URL for the ticket page? I'm going to have to 'trust' my damn hippy son to book for me so anything I can do to make it easier for the poor little thing to actually achieve something would be greatly appreciated.......x

hello! I haven't really posted for ages due to having not gone to a festival for 5 years :O but am very excited about next year (if we can get tickets) my daughter will be 26 months old and I feel a bit nervous about it!

Was it really such a nightmare getting tickets that day?

    • It was great, but I don't know why they continue to play Wide Lovely Eyes and Rings of Saturn, which are the weakest of the tracks off both PTSA and ST. Well, I do. It's cos they're about Suzie, so he can sing what he wants. They're the low points of the set. The rest is ace.
    • I didn't this time, but I've seen them before and just because you saw both that night doesn’t mean you can compare them. The Stones were great, but.you didn't think so and you went somewhere else looking for a good time and you found it. For whatever reason you didn't like it, but you were an outlier and all the reviews said they were great.
    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, i.e a verbal agreement for 2028, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
