Had loads of Stoke,Bolton,City and Utd fans staying at the hotel i work at this weekend and had many laughs with them all except Utd fans who seemed to be upper middle class and kept to themselves,perfectly polite but hardly engaging.

REALLY hope Blackpool go down and Adam will leave for peanuts. So ... two great matches this weekend....

Utd vs City - I can't make up my mind which way this will go. Utd's dodgy away form says that City must have a chance, tho Tevez being out is a big blow to them. If it was a match that could be drawn I'd probably plump for that, but as it's not I'm going to go for a Utd win

Arsenal vs Liverpool - Liverpool's form against the 'big' teams is good, so they must be in with a shout. But Arsenal are fighting for the league and this is a match they need to win if they're going to top Utd. If there's a winner then I reckon it'll be Arsenal, but I think a draw is more likely.

Given my form with predictions, if you want to make some money, bet against what I've said.

I'm off to Wemnbley having won some tickets at work (I work for E.ON). Full Club Wembley ticket with a free bar and a 3 course meal. It's gonna be strange sat with the prawn sandwich brigade. I have never seen United play since the 80's so hoping Scholes plays so I get to see him before he retires, even as a Liverpool fan (I say fan, more a 80's bandwagon jumper )I never tire of watching him, by far the best player the Premiership has seen in my opinion.

Great to see Kenny playing a few young lads yesterday. Both full backs look excellent considering they’ve only ben in the team for a week or less! Id take either over Glen Johnson already if I was a Liverpool fan. I think not embracing youth, and not in the Gary Glitter way either, was one of Rafas biggest mistakes (flogging Alonso being the biggest).

It was amusing to see Liverpool playing more 'kids' yesterday than Arsenal.

I guess with Kenny having been in charge of those kids for a while before becoming manager, he's got more trust and faith in them than someone might do who didn't know them.

I'm not sure if it's just paper talk, but there was a story last week that Liverpool will only make one major spend in the summer, and the rest of any newbies in the senior squad will be academy players. Going by some of those who have played recently it doesn't look a bad way to go.

There was also a story that if Liverpool are going to get Enrico(sp?) from Newc, Newc are going to want Sperring. I thought Sperring looked great (for a kid) when he was played a few times by Rafa, but I'm not sure now that he's quite got enough to be a first team regular. He's decent enough, but not fantastic.

Anyway .... yesterday, there was none of the silky skills from Arsenal that normally get shown in their games. I can't decide if that was Liverpool breaking up their play, an off-day by Arsenal, or Arsenal trying to play with a grit that's not their normal style.

Whichever it was, I guess that's the Arsenal title challenge pretty much blown. With Utd out of the FA Cup I can't see Utd taking their foot off the gas to let Arsenal past, unless they perhaps get too caught up with the Chumps League. But fergie's too experienced for me to think that's likely to happen.
