Yes, but middle class (and middle aged) people don't go out half naked and get so mashed they end up pissing in the streets, screeching, mooning, fighting and shagging around and going home in an ambulance. Middle class people get trolleyed in the pub on bitter and drive home through the country lanes a bit tiddly, or they get pished at home on nice wine and ruin the Axminster by spilling the Pinot Noir...

If the OP wants an alcoholic diversion en route to Glasto, may I recommend a pint or two in Eli's in Huish Episcopi?

No, not sarcastic... In the town where I live the middle aged posh middle aged couples drive home from the Gastropub pished in their Jaaaaguars and the chavs go out fighting fuelled by Bacardi Breezers...

Hi, I'm travelling with folk who want to visit Buckfast Abbey before Glasto starts. Does anyone know the logistics of this and if it's worth going past the fest to turn back to it, traffic later on in the ngiht, etc?

Cheers.

    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
    • All I'm asking for is Rancid
    • MGK would probably end my interest in this festival completely.
    • The basement, deafheaven, Mannequin pussy clash is v annoying. Also not sure why pinkpantheress is in the tent, surely going to be ramos.
    • It's just this:   Search up which orgs are currently in Tufton St, funded by Koch Brothers, Robert Mercer, and Matthew Elliot.   It's moved on from "Vote Leave" and "Leave Means Leave" into the lobbyists against net zero. It's the same funding from the same people in the same place lobbying our media and politicians.
