Everything is breaking at work - the heating is gone, as is the ball cannons, slush machine, stapler, photo printer and ball juggler. This means one grumpy boss!

Just realised i posted this is the wrong thread oops! As you can probablt guess - things breaking do not make me or my boss happy!

Anyway - happy thing is that i'm working christmas even (which some people may dislike but i quite like) we get to go in fancy dress, work a short shift, get paid extra, get free food and a general fun festive atmosphere.

they were going to make you sleep in a cupboard? :(

There's a big cupboard up the stairs in my folk's house which doesnt get used and they were looking to convert it into a wee bedroom thing for me cos there's literally nowhere else for me to sleep, but the weather screwed up any chance of that. They had originally said it would still be ok but turns out its waaaay too cold.

I'm not complaining. The hotel is attached to the pub I plan to be in on xmas eve :P

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
