i've loved this thread this year, you've all been top. we cannot waver in our committment until we have won our battle however.

NO R***, NO MUD, NO COMPROMISE! *salutes*

As much as i don't want rain at all, i am not at all keen on all this bloody sunshine, hope there are a few cloudy moments and cooler nights...At the moment this is not weather i enjoy at all. :(

Have to agree, can't cope with totally and unmercilessly baking hot either I'm afraid so would defo prefer some of this

as well. Just ickle ones mind you, really teeny weeny ickle ones gracefully floating around, but defo all white fluffy without even the merest hint of greyness and/or any significant precipitation content whatsoever of course :)

Right then.

All those who are laughing in the face of the weather Gods by talking of taking wellies out of the rucksack - stop it right now. Those starting to say its too hot - you also stop it. We're close but the battle ain't over yet so don't tempt fate - please!

Anyhoo, home from work, was going to check my stuff and finish packing, but I'm going for a pint in the sunshine instead. Holiday, celebtrate, oh yeah, lets celebrate (etc etc).

B) (this is me).

Thanks to all those who've contributed to this thread, the bits that I've understood (as some of you like to show your technical prediction prowess) have been a great read. Rock on ze Germans but please be sure to pack your wellies people, or we'll find you when it all turns r***y.

    • That leaker off Instagram was saying earlier this year that Nickelback are doing a tour with Broco and Wargasm, but no evidence as yet
    • Gojira are unoficially confirmed by the organisation at Hellfest since last December already.   Slayer was supposed to be this year as a Mainstage 2 headliner at the place of Volbeat for a thrash day but negotiations fell off. Very likely to be there next year.    MCR I didn't know about but it fits well with Hellfest's desire to keep one day as more punk/rock orientated.    Europe are a confirmed headliner for Sweden Rock 2027. They will not headline HF but we may seem them on the bill. I am very curious who will be the legacy bands next year at HF. There was some backlash after 2025 and a bit of a return to heavier metal on the bill in 2026 - e.g. Gatekeeper on the main stage. The only considerable legacy acts I see coming (if they are in Europe) and haven't been at HF for a while are Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Slash, FFDP (if you count them as legacy), ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I really hope they manage to pull sth big for the 20th anniversary like AC/DC.
    • Looking forward to Doja Cat letting us all know what is going on later on today. It is a good job that somebody is keeping us informed.
    • They've got a few gigs in Dec/Jan.  Hoping to pick up a couple of tickets for Margate later today
