Are you all serious? I can't get my head around this.. let me repeat...

Radiohead (arguably the dullest band in the world, stop.)

The Prodigy (arguably the biggest band of the moment, but are appearing at every festival in the country so hardly a major coup is it?! seriously I wouldn't bat an eye if they were announced for Bloodstock!)Deftones (who all of you have been pissing and moaning will never play for bloody years - and now get a whole 25 minutes... yay  )

+ Placebo, Brand New, EoDM, AFI, Fall Out Boy who are all fantastic live!

Pretty terriable line up. Placebo the only band I really like, so not gonna bother going as they always tour the UK loads with a new album. Deftones ok but too low down and to be honest they are poor live. Prodigy the only other that intrests me and i'm not really a fan, a slipknot/prodigy clash even isn't an issue for at download, slipknot all the way.

Ignorant how? because not all of us want a mainstage jammed with generic indie shite, when people wanted some metal all the scenesters on here kept sayin it was about diversity...where's the f**king diversity now?? One Metal band so far & the Deftone's aren't the best live act going.

Enjoy the chavs.

Sonisphere costs a damn fortune and they've only announced a couple of bands that haven't been at Reading in the past couple of years.

The only thing I will conceed is that I can't understand why Bloc Party have been given another high slot. At least the Subways come back and play on different parts of the lineup.

This is interesting from an interview /index.php?showtopic=117606">linked here :

Has Sonisphere changed the focus of Reading and Leeds, the classic heavy day of the festival seems to be missing this year?

''It has a little bit but once we announce the Lock-Up Stage and announce two Radio 1 stage headliners that are both huge rock acts people will see how rounded it is. Metallica played our festival last year and Nine Inch Nails played two years ago so Sonisphere having them does not make a huge difference to us.''

So I'll be interested to see what the Lock Up holds...
