i can only count 7 indie bands playing on the main stage, and the way i look at it if there are 3 'indie' headliners this year then maybe there will be 3 heavier headliners next year e.g. green day, kasabian and ac/dc

Hmm, I'll be glad to see Placebo, EoDM, Prodigy, Brand new, YYYs and Radiohead, so that's... 6 Bands so far. Not really fussed, I spend most of my time in the tents anyway and we only have the tip of the iceberg at the moment-not panic time for me yet.

surprising Janes Addition aren't at Sonisphere tbh after the tour they are doing with NIN. If they were up against Radiohead I would watch Jane's no question. In process of applying to volunteer. Line up isn't worth paying for but should still be a laugh

Firstly, why complain if you were the moron who took the time off so early anyway....you are clearly a buffon of the highest order. How can you possibly consider the line up over the last 7 years to have been trustworthy...METALLICA?....RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS?.....SMASHING PUMPKINS?.....PEARL JAM?

Those bands are everything that has been wrong with the festival recently, and im glad that good old Melvin has finally got it back on track in 2009. The only postive i can recall from the last 7 years has been razorlight....at least they benefit our music industry with good honest values.

If your not happy with the line up then we have a place for you....DOWNLOAD or SONISPHERE....these are 2 places where you and your fellow haters can gather in a weekend of sheer moron-ness. Frankly we dont need your sort at our reading festival as you would only drag it down and give it a bad name.

If you dare spit in Sir Melvins face....i warn you mate. And you say that this line up wants to make you go and punch someone...wel the only person i would want to punch in all this would be YOU!!

FINALLY...Wheres the music you ask. When im at reading with my weekend of outstanding music....i wont be thinking 'Where's Lithium' OH NO QUITE THE OPPOSITE....i will be raising a glass of chilled cranberry juice with a few chums, in toast to celebrate the fact that we are finally rid of people like you from our beloved festival.
