Including ticket flights booze buses and everything it used to cost me a little over €1000 in 17 and 19. This year I'm expecting it to cost €1300+. Flights and buses etc are already more expensive. But that's ok.

It's going to be a rowdy atmosphere this year with everybody looking to go buck wild after everything that's happened. I can't wait!

Sounds a lot like the first post you made in this thread. If it isn't a fake ticket and you aren't being scammed then id say you'll need the persons ID also. So no it probably won't be easy enough. They care about this stuff, if they didn't they wouldn't bother putting photos on tickets.

Just be careful about giving money to people who promise a "way in". You don't want to get scammed again and desperate people often make poor decisions. The odds of being scammed are much higher than the odds of actually getting in.

Yeah, I don't know why, but I had a bad feeling about this weeks ago and switched to box office collection to avoid any hassle. I just hope the queue isn't too mental.

They have said that if you're tickets haven't arrived 3 days before gates open you need to contact them and let them know. So I think any of you who haven't already requested box office collection need to do so and see what they say.

This is true. But it’s not en excuse for postmen signing for packages themselves when signed and tracked postage has been paid for. Totally defeats the purpose of it and it results in situations like this. This isn’t over yet for the OP and I hope he gets his ticket.

Your lovely local postie isn’t supposed to sign for things himself. The whole reason registered post exists is to ensure that the stuff gets to the right person. I’ve given my postman 2 bollockings over this. You shouldn’t let them get away with it. If he’d accidentally delivered them to the wrong address and just signed it himself you could be screwed.

With Wednesday looking sparse anything that is on will surely be rammed. I’m still holding out hope that there’s a bit more happening than what’s been announced.

My feeling is that next week you will all get emails telling you to collect from the box office at gate A.

Also I would give up on trying any less than legitimate way in. You've already been scammed once let's not make it twice.

I had no idea the UKs rail service was privately owned. That’s nuts. Public transport is one of the things that should always be state owned. It’s supposed to be about providing a service and that should be it’s main focus not generating profit.

Not saying it's right or wrong but from the festival's POV it's probably for the best. Gutted for the guy that bought all the Ukrainian flags.

I always bring my wellies. I use these: https://www.gillmarine.com/tall-yachting-boots/. They are super comfy and have proper ankle support and with a gel insole I could climb a mountain in these. In 2016 they were a godsend and I even wore them in 2017 a bit because they were the most comfortable footwear I brought, can't remember what other shoes I had that year but these are the king of wellies and I'll likely bring them again this year as they fit in the rucksack. A decent pair of hiking boots are more expensive and id never use them but I use these all year round.

I’d recommend good ear plugs. A lot of people don’t seem to bring them to festivals but I now consider them to be essential. You can get silicone ones in pharmacies which can be moulded to the shape of your ear canal and they block out almost all noise. With these and F&B tent you can good sleep.

Encores are dumb in general. It's a silly tradition that needs to go away.

The cost of doing business for these people has gone up significantly. I personally don't care. Glastonbury is a total splurge for me, it's only 5 days, it doesn't matter to me how much money I spend at it and at the end of the day there's only so much money you can spend on food and drink in the course of 5 days.

Yeah if you had to miss one 2016 probably wasn't a bad one to miss. I had a great time but the not so great weather and the constant slopping through mud was tough at times. I think if I couldn't go I would book another holiday. No way id stay at home watching on TV id be completely depressed.
