In the field you couldn’t really hear her, at least where I was stood anyway. That may have been by design. I think Elton’s voice is in slightly better nick. People on here said Macca’s voice was shot before last year but he sounded middling to good imo.

I don't think they rehearse much, but their sets aren't full improv either I don't think. Amazing energy though. They would be better in a dingy club rather than a tent at glasto.

Is this not a form of religious discrimination? Presumably if you were Muslim they would give you the time off? Therefore the only reason you aren't being approved for it is because you aren't a Muslim, discrimination cuts both ways.

With the higher price the resale will likely be easier this year, fingers crossed for everyone who missed out.

I could be wrong about this, but I think last year some of the coach and ticket packages went on sale after the announced resale in April and a few people on this forum got tickets that way. As far as I know this was the first time this had happened since 2016 but I could be wrong.

Never like this though, people were buying tickets 40 minutes after Emily and Seetickets announced the sellout, makes them look a bit silly. I don't think they need to overhaul the whole system, they just need to invest some money so that Seetickets has more powerful computer systems that can handle the load. It might be a good move for their business, then they could do ticketing for other large events as well.

I agree, if people make it to the buying page and get all the details in they should get tickets, it's really not fair that people just get booted out because Seetickets system just isn't good enough. The festival rakes in millions every year can they not help Seetickets put better infrastructure in place? It was absolute mess this year with neither Seetickets themselves or Emily Eavis having a clue what was actually happening, telling everyone it was sold out when it clearly wasn't. It pissed me off and I got tickets.

Absolute chaos as usual, the fact that tickets could still be bought long after See announced it was sold out caused a lot of confusion. I thought it was all over and then out of nowhere one of the girls in my group bags the ticket at about 10:30. Delighted to be going to my 5th on the trot, I feel very lucky.

Taste of Tibet! I ate there 3 times and I never normally do that at glasto. Amazing beef dumplings with spicy chili oil.

I was going to suggest checking torrent sites. Some of the more popular Pyramid headliners would surely be available somewhere. We should be careful about posting those kinds of links here.

I had literally everything in the lockups except my phone which got robbed. So no it’s not foolproof and a visible security presence is a good deterrent. A lot of people don’t even know the lockups are a thing at the festival. 2 of my group who attended in 2019 only heard about the lockups this year. The lockup service that the fest offers is great but they need some security presence in the campsites as well. It’s standard for festivals to have that.

I don't see why the festival should cater to people who can't sort their personal finances. It won't make the festival any cheaper, you can either afford it or you can't. We all know when we are going to have to pay our deposit and balance it's not like the dates change much, there's a slight increase in price year on year but everyone is expecting that. If people want to go but can't just stump a couple hundred quid when the time comes then put a savings plan in place, X amount per week into a savings account or whatever. I used to do that when I started going to festivals as a student.

Nobody is asking for a widespread increase in Police and security. But SOME security presence in the campsites at night time would be an improvement. Glasto isn't like other arena festivals where there's always people in the campsites drinking. During the headliners and after the campsites are completely deserted.

In 2019 it happened to the group next to us in Rivermead. The festival does nothing about it and they probably should. If you go to literally any other festival you'll see security in the campsites.
