Yeah if you had to miss one 2016 probably wasn't a bad one to miss. I had a great time but the not so great weather and the constant slopping through mud was tough at times. I think if I couldn't go I would book another holiday. No way id stay at home watching on TV id be completely depressed.

I've seen him live twice and I saw one of his DJ sets before and he played a lot of his own stuff. That might have been because a lot of his gear didn't arrive so he couldn't do a full live set, I wouldn't say it was more chilled it was pretty ravy.

Just because a band has a gap in their schedule doesn’t mean they can do it. There’s a lot of logistics involved in moving all the gear around and that’s organised months in advance. Sam Fender could do it, would be huge for him.

You can go to the silent discos or go to the various bars where they play the same music you’ll hear in a pub when you’re out on a normal Saturday night at home. This is what my group always end up doing and I think it’s a waste. I can go to a silent disco any Saturday night of the year so when I’m at glasto I want something different so I always ditch them and head for the SEC. They aren’t into the underground stuff in the same way I am so each to their own I suppose.

They’ll just bump everyone else up a slot and find some lesser known band who can be booked at short notice to play early in the day as they have done in the past surely?

I only know that one tune that got a lot of radio time and it’s not my thing but it’s awful that she’s just kind of hitting her stride and she has to cancel an entire summer of gigs. Hopefully the recovery is quick and it doesn’t slow her career down too much.

I wonder is he booked? I haven’t seen his name yet. He played on the glade in 2019 during the headliners, tiny crowd but it was fun.

Your friends need to probably forget about a resale and focus their efforts on finding a volunteering position or work. In other years I’ve seen people on efestivals nab spots a week or two before the gates open.
