  1. There's no point half arseing it just join a group here next year and try in the sale, you don't have to do shrooms for 5 days straight like you probably used to, just treat it like a relaxing holiday, bring a caravan etc.
  2. Do you have a ticket for this year? Might see you there!

    Foals

This is true. I'm hoping for LCD Soundsystem 2016 type vibes but that might be asking a bit much.
  4. Is Fatboy still on his quest to play every stage at the festival?

I enjoyed that gig even the sound mess up at the end did let the air out of it a bit, but it was my first glasto and I pretty much enjoyed everything. If they are other stage headliner friday night I could easily be there since its Billie on the pyramid I think?
  6. I also listened to their stuff on Spotify and was left scratching my head a bit after reading so much about them on here. Not that interesting to me. Sounds very similar to a lot stuff that’s come out of the uk in the last ten years.
  7. It’s a bit more understandable at festivals like that where there’s a separate arena for the stages and you can only bring in your own drink after a certain time and you have to smuggle in anything else. But at glasto you can take your chair your drink and your gear and go sit anywhere you like across the entire site so why just sit at your tent? I think it’s a waste of a ticket.
  8. Really? I never heard about that. That's actually kind of sad.
  9. Yeah he's part of the furniture at this stage, bound to be playing at least one set.
  10. I started this because I knew you guys were looking forward to seeing him, maybe I should add a pole!
  11. I can understand why some people don't like it. I have a few friends who wouldn't attend a festival in a million years and I probably could convince one or two of them to go to one but I know they wouldn't enjoy it and would just bring the mood down so I don't bother. Glastonbury is great but it's hard work at times especially if the weather is extreme one way or the other. As good as it is I don't know if it's actually a great intro to festivals? It's kind of like jumping at the deep end. I'm glad I did smaller festivals first so I at least knew what festivals were all about.
  12. It's been 3 years he's definitely going to be there but the question is who's set will he shoehorn himself into? It'll be on Pyramid obviously. I'm betting McCartney or Diana Ross.
  13. We need this guy on the farm, I've been bobbing my head to this in work for the last 40 mins.
  14. Loads of tents available there, I thought all that would be completely booked out by now.
  15. Would love Marcel Dettmann to show up anywhere.
  16. The real question is where will Chris Martin appear?

    Glastocam!

Why's it gone all wobbly like people at the stone circle?
  18. There was always a massive queue in 2019 and I was pissed on the wednesday so I went to one of the ice cream vans and bought 10 500ml bottles of coke instead, it actually worked out better because a big bottle will go flat once you open it.
  19. Has there been any talk of a farm appearance?
  20. At an outdoor stage if it's windy enough the sound will surely be affected no matter how many repeaters they have? Would more at the other stage make much difference?
  21. Would have a rough idea of how much all this is costing including the purchase of the van? I imported a 2007 VW California from Germany in 2017 and it was pretty expensive, your build looks very good so I'm curious to know how much cheaper it would've been to do a decent build like this instead of just buying a purpose built camper van.
  22. He was getting loads of stick in this thread before the 2019 festival and then most of the people who ended up at his sets had a good time.
  23. I've found the best thing to do is just fill a bag with a few cans or whiskey mixed with whatever and then get a pint or two from bars. Before 2019 id decided I was going to drink more from the bars but I honestly found it a pain having to leave my spot at whatever stage I was at to go to a bar and pints in a paper cup are annoying to carry around. You can bring your own drink anywhere you like so I just find that easier.
  24. Ale and whiskey. I enjoy sampling the different beers available in UK supermarkets, lots of stuff you can't get here.
