She hasn't gigged for her own album in two years and she's on the last EIR album so I'm 99% confident she'll be coming out for that.

So who's got a good rain dance in the locker, then? Now we're in August the weather watchers can come out of hiding. 

 

Already having flashbacks to last year (the dust cloud of doom at the crossroads by the Courtyard entrance).

 

Also got to be looking sketchy for the fire/fireworks on the Sunday. Might be a controversial opinion but wouldn't mind it - the fencing annoyance isn't worth the 10 mins of 'oooohhh, aaahhhh', plus the raining of hot embers last year!

As first timers last year the whole set-up blew our mind with the fire on the Sunday, it seemed you could get too close and I didn’t like dodging falling embers!

Can anyone confirm what time you're allowed to arrive from on the Thursday? We are in a campervan. Wanting to get down there and get set up so we can enjoy the first day!

I think it's usually about 10am that they open.

Sophie Williams (journalist and Mercury Prize judge) was on Huw Stephens' roundtable last week, said she'd love to see Overmono headline Green Man. Does feel like it's bound to happen. 2027 is surely on the cards seeing as they're about to release a new album

I would be surprised if they don't, given 2022 was the twentieth I imagine next year is going to be pushed as the 25th anniversary so having the most local big name artist possible headline seems natural. Maybe SFA are being saved for then too?

Hope they skip the fireworks and the burning of the man this year tbh, seemed dodgy last year with all the reports of embers and this year is drier. Don't want to be a killjoy but it's only a big bonfire at the end of the day. 

 

May also need extra care with BBQ and gas stoves etc, always worries me slightly in the campervan field where vans are very very close together! 

 

Not had campervan pass in the mail yet either.

 

Looking forward to the beer festival and enjoying a few pints while taking in some mellow tunes in the walled garden if the sun carries on shining like this 😎
