Well it was Hellfest founder that said that Foo Fighters cancelled,  and  thats why Muse were on the bill

They cancelled their European plans for 2025 but they were never planned for Hellfest. He just mentions the fact Foos canceled, cause that made Muse available for him.

Why would he book the same headliner two years in a row?

I think it's good they didn't book Foo again. If there's anything different and kinda exclusive in the line-up, I would think of SOAD. Most festivals (Rock and Metal) look too similar now, so they should be creative.
It's curious how they'll envision the line-up and bands in 2026. They're not owned by Live Nation, therefore, are not under this global "deals". and choose if they'll book the offspring, Bizkit, Sabaton, Maiden.. and if they'll give the headline slots to some of these.

Sunday is obviously reserved for Pinkpop.

Paris remains a global capital of live music, and hosting a Foo Fighters concert at Paris La Défense Arena confirms this reputation. It will be the only French date on the tour, offering fans the opportunity to attend a monumental show without leaving the country.

There are of course many fantastic names in there, as always. It couldn’t be otherwise. But looking at the top of the bill, for Hellfest’s standards, this is underwhelming imo. Same as Graspop this year (unless if you are into metalcore but that’s not my thing). I almost convinced my friends to buy tickets and arrange a trip to France this year. Good thing I failed 😅.

I think RAR/RIP have taken the nod for the heavier festival this year, I think them having Bizkit as a late night act improves it overall too

I'm sorry to say, that it is quite the opposite

This year, the main stages at Hellfest are weaker than in previous years.

But on the other hand, the other four stages are amazing: lots of quality bands, doom, thrash, black metal, really all genres are represented, and that's rare enough to be worth mentioning.

Compared to 2024 and 2025, which were a bit more "open to the general public," this is a bit of a return to the roots ^^

    • Olivia Rodrigo is here. There's no way though, right?? I'd miss mbv for her I think
    • So, when will we know what's in our Occident mistery box? I hope they'll end the guessing game and tell us before
    • What I didn't like was Pinkpantheress set. Coming from Jade, it was impossible to get even a half-decent spot. You could manage to get a decent-ish view, but the sound was just terrible.

    • Standardly perfect day at Primavera yesterday.   Highlights:   Rilo Kiley - kinda smallish crowd, comparing to Geese, but man, they sounded great.   The Cure - finally saw them for the first time and loved every minute (left during Close to Me).   Jade (arrived during FUFN) - amazing voice, perfect vibes, great show.   The Levi's Plaza - I went there just after Somos la herencia and when I decided to take a pee break and saw the line of people waiting to get inside to see Rose Gray, I rescheduled the pee break for later. She had a fun little set in front of a very small (but very dedicated) audience. I don't understand why the capacity limit of this stage was so low. However, MANY people were watching from outside the "plaza". If you're looking for a feeling of exclusive experience and dedicated crowd and have 30 minutes to spare, this is the right stage. Also, to whoever recommended Babymorocco, thanks, it was kinda silly, but very high energy set. I would definitely come back to this stage today, if not for the clashes.
