Noticed Koyo are on the trees playlist

They’ve not been announced have they?

It is a song that features Vinnie Caruana who is doing a solo set and there with I Am The Avalanche to be fair so I wouldn't read too much into it. I would be delighted if they were though.

It's 100% just because whoever doing the playlist has been putting in the top song from the smaller artists. That Koyo song has 500k more listens than anything else he's put out. Also that Arm's Length tour ended mid February so not sure why they would have been held back to the end of this month but that being said I am a bit surprised none of the bands on that tour are playing Trees this year.

So clashfinder and two of the three bands coming in the next ten days.

The bigger band is now not coming for "oh I dunno another couple of months"

Feels like that's got to be a Slam Dunk band. Gonna say The Menzingers are subbing Alkaline

One band being announced tomorrow, pretty sure it's a Big Scary Monsters signed band

balance and composure perhaps? surely not Modern Baseball??? and surely not Reuben? And we already had LA Dispute recently so that's kind of all the big hitters there I think??

Dunno if its necessarily a BSM band, they're just plugging their sale in the email.

just for fun i went through all the old line ups and i've worked out what bands have played trees the most over the years

1: Jim Lockey in first place, played 12 times

2: The Xcerts second, played 9 times

3: And So I Watch You From Afar, Oxygen Thief, Beans On Toast and Crazy Arm are joined third, played 7 times

4:Twin Atlantic, Frank Turner, Jamie Lenman, Future Of The Left, Pulled Apart By Horses, The St Pierre Snake Invasion, Thrill Collins are all fourth, played 6 times

5: Vukovi, Skinny Lister, Rolo Tomassi, Puppy, Press To Meco, Palm Reader, Imperial Leisure, Dream State, Creeper, Black Foxxes, Arcane Roots and Haggard Cat all in 5th with 5 times

(this list does not count double sets, just years played)

Fair play. Does this include secret sets? I'm sure Frank and the Xcerts have done at least one each.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
