2000 Trees 2026

Hello folks, I have a question and hope you could help me out with your expertise.

 

I am from overseas and last year was my first time visiting a music festival in england (Slamdunk 2025), which I loved. Apparently the music scene in england fits my taste in music quite well, so that I am going to slamdunk this year again. 
 

In addition I found out about 2000trees and after so many positive reviews I decided to give it a try, so I am going to visit trees this year too (already bought a 4 day ticket).

My question: is Birmingham or Heathrow the better choice for an destination airport, considering I have to travel by train&bus to the festival area and do you have any recommendations how I should travel (from either airport or your recommended one) to the festival area?🙂

 

I am traveling alone and planing on using only one (big size) rucksack/backback.

Surely the cost will be dependent on where they are flying from lol, I've found some European cities way more expensive to fly to from Birmingham

The price is close to the same, only a few percentage difference, from airport to airport. 

Is it way smoother to get to trees from Birmingham instead of Heathrow? 
And could you recommend a route? 🙂

I only did a quick google but train from Birmingham to Cheltenham takes around 50 mins on the train and costs from £6-13 

 

Heathrow to Cheltenham takes an hour longer and costs £50+

Hopefully James is sending the money truck their way, but I can also imagine Download will be after them and maybe also Slam Dunk and R+L if they decide to do a rock day again

I think he was given positive news by their booking agent regarding them still wanting to headline despite being arguably too big now.

I can see them wanting too (they were arguably too big when they played before as well) but from his comments about the Neck Deep booking it sounds like there could be a bit more politics involved / not as easy as band and agent being keen

 

I'm seeing Shikari at least twice this year anyway, but they'll always be on my Trees wishlist and I'm loving the new album so far

They're doing the Frank Turner/Bowling for Soup shows so I think that's what the small headline tour is built around

Also the main slot that is available is on the thursday when they are playing london

Quick question. Do we reckon Menzingers will get announced for Trees after Slam Dunk? Perfect band for festival seeing as how well Spanish love songs went down. Got a horrific clash with Dashboard Confessional and them. If I knew they were at Trees I could see the whole of Dashboard but don’t want to risk not seeing them if not.

I don't really see where they'd fit now, they won't be going against Alkaline Trio and that's the only big slot left, other than the one in the forest but again that's against Free Throw and that slot is probably the Mark & Me podcast

It's Unpeople I'm fairly sure. They were liking posts about it being them left right and centre. Though a heavier band would make a lot more sense against Alkaline Trio

I think that's them just playing the social media game, Orchards did similar stuff on Instagram but don't seem likely now. They're also booked for stacks of other festivals this year so I don't know why Slam Dunk would be holding up the announcement. I can see them more likely as a last minute replacement for Thursday.. Either way I'd love to have unpeople there.

2000 Trees Instagram posted about it. It's also worth listening to the 2 Promoters 1 Pod podcast. The promoter for Trees sometimes gives some insights into what's going on. It's not just a Trees podcast it's more general music business related at independent level.

 

They mentioned this morning the replacement for Thursday will be sorted by the end of the month and isn't likely to be another American band at short notice.
