Taking a punt that the agency is WME, have a bunch of huge bands (Foos, Qotsa etc.) and have had a few bands headline too (Coheed & TBS, At The Drive In, Nothing But Thieves, Jimmy Eat World)

 

Looking through the roster for bands the right size was tricky, Frank Carter and the Sex Pistols stood out, and AFI and Thursday too (though not sure they'd be big enough). Not sure who else there could headline who haven't before (he didn't say they haven't on the pod, I'm just making an assumption)

 

Also spotted Feeder on the roster which could be interesting. Feel like James would view them in a similar to way Placebo / Manics where he likes them personally but doesn't view them as a good fit. But they were pretty high on the list of bands who been used on that predictor site so hopefully he's seen that and looks into booking them 

Weezer on the same agency list too, not sure if they'll be back in Europe again next summer having come over the last two years I think?

They’ve been announced for a festival in Germany the weekend after Download so that fit looks more likely. They could play a high slot there too with nu metal being back again. Nothing has swayed me from AFI and Rise Against from the latest set of clues.

They've played a festival around Download for the past who knows how many years and haven't played, there's very clearly some beef there.

AFI & Rise Against seem a safe bet. Right sizes and think both will be among the MCR supports. Amyl for the third maybe?

Wed-Fri look very trees and I can see all the bookings happen. Saturday main seems way off though. Can’t imagine they’d book Feeder or The Darkness tbh. Maybe FC&SP but I can see them going for Rise Against instead.

Rise against are rumoured to be the MCR support, and if the rumour is true about adding a show on the 8th could mean them doing 4 in a row.

Been mentioned on here before, think it comes from the bands being friendly and them being active, I was hoping for something more exciting akin to what America got.

The US got some really interesting ones, I’d love it to be Idles again. They had some weird ones here in 2022, think it was Placebo, Barns Courtney and Casyette?
