Think Before You Pack

Some great advise on the GFL website about what to bring and what not to bring. Please have a read before you pack! Here's a link to the list -

Planning on using a trolley for the first time in 10 years as getting old now and have a 100km charity hike two weeks after the festival so need to limit body damage 😂

It is a decent one my wife used for forest school stuff.

How much slower are the trolleys entrance lanes would you say good people?

The glitter ban is gonna rile some people

Including me. I rarely use it myself, only when someone else puts it on me, but I love seeing it when I’m out dancing post midnight

No drums? Is the drum circle in the stone circle not happening any more?

Don’t think it’s happened for a while. Which is a good thing, for there aren’t many things more annoying that a load of stoned hippies thinking they can drum, while being hopelessly out of time

Living in Glastonbury, I come to the festival to get away from that! The tor on a solstice is so so bad. The church yard drunks playing out of tune guitars along with equally out of tune singing takes the prize for worst sound though

So are wet wipes outright banned or is it a “please try and avoid bringing them” type scenario?

Well the guidance says please avoid using so more of a soft- we would rather you didn't but we haven't a hope in hell really of stopping it. But there was crispgate a couple of years ago when overzealous (and wrongfully informed) searches took bags of crisps off people so who knows what will happen

Best piece of packing advice I saw on here, maybe 15 years ago, was to fully pack your rucksack. Strap it on then walk up and down stairs a few times. If you think “f*ck me, that’s heavy”, revise your Glasto kit plan immediately. If you don’t, you’ll die before you reach the gates.
