I'm in two minds about Deftones. Around the Fur is one of my all-time favourite albums (Top 10 for sure)... but for me none of their other albums come remotely close (aside from a handful of tracks on Adrenaline). I haven't even listened to anything post-2006.

But I've never seen them live and I imagine they'll be playing a decent amount of their early stuff.

I get that to some degree, though this is Deftones at Glastonbury, they know this is not a home game for them, they will be pulling out all of the stops to put on a show.

I'm all for new music myself, though there is plenty of opportunities for that at the festival this year, as you have said, it's one of your all time favourite albums, get down the front and enjoy.

Who knows, we might even get Back to School, they played it at Reading Festival a few years ago.....

I'd love that, it's one of my karaoke go-tos.

Do have some big questions over how the crowd goes for this one. Think it is a great booking, but I do have questions for certain.

Really hoping the front pit isn’t full of people camping up for Charli, because I intend to go ham in that pit and won’t be relenting because people around are whining.

I have a huge problem with this attitude. Barging into people who aren’t up for it isn’t on.

you want me to curb my enthusiasm and show some respect to the people stood at the front who have no interest in the band on stage?

You can express plenty of enthusiasm without barging into people who don’t want to be pushed around. Although I do kinda agree that people with no interest shouldn’t be there. Bad scheduling by The Other Stage?

You can still 'go ham' without being an arsehole to people. Plenty of people will be into it and moshing- unless you're that guy windmilling.. No one likes that guy...

My brother attended Reading & Leeds last year and said that lots of people had camped out for Lana Del Rey. Leaving a very unenthusiastic crowd up front for Fontaine's DC who were on beforehand. He said some people were on phones scrolling social media while they performed.

So I agree with you I hope the same sort of scenario doesn't happen for Deftones.

There will be plenty of crowd movement for the Charli fans to get to the front after deftones.

Thankfully unlike other festivals you can’t buy tickets for a specific act for Glastonbury so I don’t think it’s gonna be quite as bad as the other horror stories we’ve all heard, but still expecting there to be some people who throw away most of their evening to get a good spot for Charli so we shall see.

And I obviously have no intention of barging in to people purposefully, but if a pit opens up and people start being arsey about it then that’s on them to get the f**k out of the way.

Anyone at the front waiting for Charli is going to have a real bad time.

The can eff right off.

I saw it before. I remember one girl an hour before Elton telling me that I was standing in her mates spot.

Took about 4 attempts to realise what she was talking about

they had 75 mins. So youll have to subtract 3 songs. Which 3 songs is the question.

This looks really good to me, though I do think we will see Passenger or Back to School, maybe Rivers will join them on stage for a song?
