Lady Gaga

So, no Glastonbury slot in 2025, but has Coachella and the massive Rio show, plus a new record this year.

Many think she would have been with us in 2026 had there not been a fallow year, and others - including myself - think she's firmly in the conversation for 2027.

So, there's the simple lead-off - if Lady Gaga headlined the Pyramid Stage, would you or would you not be there?

I am, in bad form, yet to actually spin it. But I have heard very good things.

She seemed to get some good notices for her SNL gig last night too.

I'll stand on this hill forever - The Edge of Glory is genuinely one of the best pop singles of the new millennium, honking sax and all.

I don’t foresee many (if any) better pop albums coming along this year. It’s classic sounding Gaga. I’ve only listened to it 4 times so far but I think it’s her strongest album since The Fame / The Fame Monster. Beats out Born This Way as #2, I think.

That's a hell of an accolade to bestow on it.

I think just about every Gaga release has brought one bona-fide banger to the party - and I also, unironically, think Hold My Hand is one of the best movie power-ballads in years - but the sheer volume of quality on those first two records as copper-bottomed pop is off the charts.

Interviewer: "What would it take for you to headline Glastonbury?"
Gaga: "Not much."
Interviewer: "Just a phone call?"
Gaga: "Maybe!"

If all it would take is a phone call, why the f**k are The 1975 headlining?!
