Happy New Year! I hope they'll announce The Strokes because I'm going to Electric Castle too and they already have QOTSA 😁

Based on recent interviews with Julian Casablancas I'd be surprised if they even played 1 show this year. The guy seems to resent the Strokes and slags them off at every opportunity 😭 more chance of The Voidz playing.

With the 1975’s return looking likely this summer, could it be realistic that they could be a headliner that fits the band category and a similar vibe to charli/chappell? It’ll be 6 years since they last headlined

I think no chance, they are maybe only going to be at Glasto but that's it. I could see them as 2026 headliners tho

and that was already too much.

Okay @Sziget2025_Leaks you can come out of hiding now.

We've forgiven you for that debacle of an undercard announcement - on the proviso that announcement two contains many more people who play instruments and sing rather than just push buttons (apologies to EDM fans for that generalisation!)

So, when are we going to start hearing more info about the major changes to the festival and, once assumes, new stage layouts?

Some nice stuff on here and shows some acts from the Wishmachine who will be active (Avril!) as this is U.S.A. in middle of June.

Marina again. Hope Mannequin Pussy turn up this year.  Would happily welcome back Beabadoobee as missed her last time around.

Some great acts on that last day - would take any of the headliners along with Saint Motel, Royel Otis, Role Model, Raye and Barry Can't Swim, although appreciate some of these played this year.

And, of course, Avril.

According to the map, the stage will look like this:

2024                                       vs                                           2025

ooooh that’s a great spot!! That’s very telling. They are definitely giving up the old stage. Very excited!!

Edit: I don’t know if tou are being ironic, but I do think this show that the atage will actually change because I’m pretty sure every year they showed the two screens on both sides.

I looked into it a bit. The company who made the Balaton Sound main stage also made the party Arena last year, some stuff for the Revolut stage and the Drone show over the main stage.

Especially because they specifically mention the led display for the Party Arena and looking at the Balaton Sound stage as well, it is likely they are making the Sziget main stage and it will be a massive led stage - giving space for Anyma.

But I find it unlikely that they just borrow a stage from Balaton as is. I think it will be bigger and different in some ways.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
