Pinkpop have now added that on their app too and Tom Odell confirmed he’s there so…. As we thought/knew.  It’s him for Werchter

In their last Instagram post, Tom Odell officially confirmed by Pinkpop in the times Hello Tempest Road was supposed to play

Both Southside and Hurricane in Germany also had an unannounced act on their timetables.
Guess what? It’s Tom Odell 🙃

Why on God's green earth did anyone suddenly decide that he was so exciting that it was worth this stunt? I wouldn't say he is for any festival, but especially not one he played last year. As with many other things this year, it's extremely underwhelming.

Mindblowing. I can't understand why they've not put him in the Barn either. If not just for a change from last year, that style of music is far better suited there.

Yeah I don't care too much myself, but I just don't understand it...

agreed mate.  I’ve not been before but having 1 day on the main stage with Tom Odell, Damiano David, Yungblud and Goldband all who have played last year/recently is very odd

Think I'm now locked in for my plans for this year

THURS: While She Sleeps, Amyl and the Sniffers, Lambrini Girls, De La Soul, English Teacher, Fontaines DC, London Grammar, Heliung, Iggy Pop, Linkin Park

FRI: The Scratch, Thee Sacred Souls, Jasmine 4.t, Wet Leg, Bad Nerves, Weezer, Boston Manor, Girl in Red, Lola Young into Simple Minds, Fat Dog, Green Day

SAT: Jacotene, Bright Eyes, Amenra, Faye Webster, Beth Gibbons into Gurriers, Raye into Elbow, Cymande, Maribou State, Sam Fender

SUN: Dasha, Remy Bond, Wunderhorse, Finneas, Allie X into Foster the People, Gracie Abrams into Soulwax, Noah Kahan, Olivia Rodrigo

Not a bad 4 days. Sunday a bit left to be desired but I'll try out the 3 pop acts.

That’s a lot of running around.  Great lineup for you though.  There’s a few acts I want to be at the front for so will have to skip others.  Most annoying is probably missing English Teacher to be at the front for Fontaines DC

If you’re worried about the weather wait until you find out Linkin Park cancelled a gig today

So that means Yungblud will be subbing on Saturday and headlining on Thursday. Good week for him..

Or maybe they'll just announce Hello Tempest Road as the Thursday headliner we've been waiting for all the time..

Jokes aside, after tonight, that Saturday would have 1000× been better by KOL closing it as a headliner....yes I'm aware they had to pull, Yungblud just as a sub and Sam pissing off. Yungblud was class tonight at the bowl, really good show. And that's how quick things turn gloomy again.

That's a line you don't hear very often. 😅

Shows the strength of it doesn't it compared to others. Obviously I'm more of a fan of then than the closer but that would have been a great 1 - 2 to finish after hearing last night. Two weeks to go without Thursday selling out though Friday and Sunday are sold out, Friday especially on the basis of the headliner itself, the undercard is quote dead overall though a level up from IOW Sunday last year.

I don't question that Yungblud is a good live artist, I've seen him multiple times myself, but he was there last year and it was a lazy booking. That's it, and it's not acceptable in any way or form. If Tom Odell now is the major surprise on Saturday, the whole thing just becomes a major joke.

I can't disagree with you on that, just based on what they've booked that would be the best scenario. Yes he shouldn't be booked again. Tom Odell I like and he some sentimental value to my Mum to do with family so for me Tom, Yungblud and KOL would have actually been better than the Friday but that's from a view of someone that didn't go last year. Having Tom. Yungblud and Damiano David all on the same day again this year is the height of lacking thought process though they have obviously struggled to book acts. A booking strategy I can't see them continuing into next year. You can't almost bet though that KOL will be in the mix now for next year as they now come into the returning after pulling out pool lol. I wouldn't even be looking forward to Weezer now on Friday as they were dull at Download, rivers crowd interaction is now very minimal and back years ago that's part of what made them a really good option to see.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
