So was Maneskin and their leader singer has been rebooted again this year.

Surely they MUST be able to find something they haven't recycled plenty of times? Saying this, knowing that Odell would fit perfectly into their modus operandi...

People have moaned all year that the headliners aren’t the ones they like and bring back the likes of Muse again!

Best thing about the times is that Iggy Pop and LP don't clash.

Iggy vs Deftones though.

And the baddest clash of them all: Raye vs Elbow... That one is brutal.

You would think that but I couldn't complain about it from a personal view. From regulars going they would have two acts that both played last year playing again this year two spaces from each other. It doesn't take much to realise that the bold attempt to swiych things up a bit hasn't quote worked and has left them scratching the heads a bit. Hopefully they learn from this next year and spread the rockier options about a bit to comebine with the lighter acts and use Mad Cool as a bit of a tool with it. Should Glastonbury go badly and it is indeed him then I certainly wouldn't complain if there was a last ditch purchase which couldn't happen if Glastonbury doesn't. Odell is has sentimental value to my Mum and family so he's a priority.

Tom was also booked on the same day as Maneskin last year so he's taken a couple of slots down if it is him. It certainly adds to Saturday from my perspective at least.

People? Is that one person disagreeing with you? What on earth has that to do with this?

Also, there i'ts quite the bigger selection in mid-range bands than headliner material isn't it (and even Muse wasn't playing last year)?

I don't like Deftones so have no issues with that, it worked out very well for me if I was attending.

I like a couple of Raye but Elbow is the most boring 'rock' band I've heard in my life so that's Raye all day lol. I'd listen to Sam Fender over Elbow and do it happily lol and I think thoughts on him are clear haha.

It has nothing to do with it but it's easy to come out with rubbish with nothing else useful to add.

Muse can stay away lol, 13/14 years ago yes. Undercard is more the issue with massive gaps more than the headliners by 'name' at least. Early retirement on Saturday still.

You said recycled plenty of times, that was the point.  There is no need to have the same acts appear consecutively or even every few years in relation to the big ones.  You’re right btw, if it is him as the anagram alludes to then they should have found someone else.

Damiano David getting 45 mins and Goldband 1hr and 15 is quite funny.

Really surprised Linkin Park is only 90

mins too

Because he's got 5 of his own songs and they've got more.

Every headliner apart from Green Day have only 1hr 30 so it's not that unreasonable to think they would. They aren't known for crazy long festival sets and they aren't having people pay crazy money for then to do a heavy long set.

I had the feeling it was an anagram so I just tried it in this website and that was the only answer

Nice. I also went to an anagram solver....but a sh*t one.

They haven't updated the poster with it on the timetable page yet either so I think that's going to be a similar one to the Yard Act late one. But finally a good act...I get that not everyone will care but it's definitely a must if I was there with absolutely no chance of a clash. 2.5 hours window after haha.

Quite like Tom Odell, a nice set on a sunny afternoon.

More strange they bothered to use an anagram to name him. Thats what I find a bit strange. That should be for a big act, playing a set. Not a mid afternoon decent act.

Yeah fairpoint.  Just based on their tour so far I expected more.  Not bad though as can now do Iggy and Linkin Park

I like Tom Odell which has been met with a lot of critism for someone reason. My mum likes a particular song connecting her to her late Mum but she's not about to trapse around festivals lol.

They have done it hoping not everyone works it out quickly because naturally it's a bit of a poor booking if it is him. The world doesn't come on here does it daily getting anagram ideas lol. I was probably on here 2 years before anyone I knew, knew it existed.

That timing has 100% been thought about through feedback. It is also a change that make it a better booking day. Still leaves a 5 hour gap with no interest based on my interests anyway and that's after listening to all the acts. Maybe turn up for Fontaines Starbuster but that's about it.

2 hours 20 for Green Day. 90 minutes Simple Minds. Some weight there.

Didn't realise that, they are a not a band that need more than 1hr 15. I think after scouting it all I've got 17 bands I would 'catch' over the 4 days with 10/11 maybe of those who I'd like to see. So we'll see how the Glastonbury resale goes. Realistically, if it doesn't go well I may as well see what options for Eurostar were available as getting an Olivia ticket for Manchester will be a nightmare.

I compare that to Glastonbury mind and I'm on about 29 acts I'd like to catch so far and that's pretty high at this point.

It's a very lazy booking, especially as he played last year. If it's an act thats got big over the last 12 month, then yeah.

He hasn't got any bigger or smaller since I saw him at sziget in 2017. Your typical mid afternoon filler, waste of a booking imo. Although I will watch if the weather's nice.

I agree. I think he's got a bit bigger as last year playing Ally Pally was the biggest gig he's done. He also did two dates roundhouse earlier before that and Piece Hall. 3rd down at Boardmasters too between Soft Play and Courteeners. I dont think he's going be quite as low as people think at Glastonbury.

It's a mad slow low returning to play two places lower at Werchter...though clearly a panic booking.

I don't usually do UK festivals anymore, although doing live at leeds next month. So unsure his standing at UK festivals.

Well as I say, even in Belgium he was 2 places higher last year. It's pretty bad him and Damiano are on the same day together like last year.

Live at Leeds is a decent day out, it's Slam Dunk that day for me though.
