Read somewhere so it falls on second week of school summer holidays. Hopefully more sun, less rain. July seems like wettest month of the year.

Yeah change of month maybe change of weather. Always seems to be on a knife edge for a mud bath.

They deserve a break with the weather.

It has been the worst July weather wise I've known to be honest. Doesn't bother me either way. I'm interested in either this or Y Not again so for anyone who has done both, feel free to share opinions.

Weren't there a few of the bigger / mid sized festivals on the same weekend this year? I wonder if it's something to do with that, suppliers spread too thinly etc etc. It's been noted there were far fewer catering options this year.

Toilet queues were way too long across the site. Could do with a few more portaloos.

any early shouts for headliners? Noel Gallagher, Wolf Alice, Two Door and Madness on the Thursday is my very early prediction

Noel and Wolf Alice would be amazing and I'd be in without question.

I'd love Snow Patrol or Travis also, though I'd expect maybe a Rudimental/Streets type act

That said, unless the lineup is really not to our tastes, which is unlikely, we'll probably be going whatever happens

Not that I'm aware of, just have shared a headliner a few times (Kasabian 23, Stereophonics 22, Libertines 18, Stereophonics 17, Noel G 16)... more a case of gives an indication what acts are headlining this (similairish) size festival next year

Does Kendal calling have any ties to victorious?

there’s almost no chance of Biffy but that would be sensational

Victorious is a very similar sized, albeit a little larger festival but they’re both under the owners of Superstruct. Wouldn’t be surprised if Biffy played Kendal, a southern show at Victorious and a northern show at Kendal would make sense on top of what ever their own touring plans are next year.

Noticed Kendal are active on the socials again in the new year.

Headline predictions: Biffy (Thursday upgrade), Keane, Libertines, Richard Ashcroft

Libs would be the Thursday night out of them 4 surely

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
