I always take note of the band that isn't at the festival, but has the most shirt wearers. At 2022 Trees it was Sleep Token.

Of course, the artists of Sleep Token were making music before the band. One of them has played Trees before. That might be a pull for them to return to Trees over logic and money.

Yeah I'd like to think he'd want to say thanks in a way as nowhere else of note booked his previous act

This is such a bummer, Outbreak is bringing the heat this year. If it wasn't on the same weekend as Glasto I'd have booked a ticket as soon as that first wave dropped.

Still hoping to see Hotelier play a couple regular shows, but the full album would have been a dream.

At the Neck Deep signing in London last night I asked Ben their festival plans and if they are playing trees. He said that they do have some festivals to be announced this summer and they would love to do trees. Sounds to me like they won’t be there from that.

My guess probably doing Reading and Leeds then. Can't say I'm gutted don't play, I don't mind them but live it always sounds a bit sloppy.

Alkaline Trio have just announced a July UK tour which will seemingly rule them out of Trees.

Would say it rules them out of headlining (not sure they would these days anyway) but I'm not sure if it would necessarily rule them out of a slot at the festival.

Announcement predictions? I've had a look at other festival announcements and I'm thinking:

Sleep Token, The Menzingers, Viagra Boys, Thursday, Zeal & Ardor, Nova Twins, Loathe, Hot Milk, HEALTH, Spanish Love Songs, Bleed From Within, Drug Church, Skynd, Guilt Trip, Soccer Mommy, Gel, Movements, Static Dress, Bad Nerves, Calva Louise, Mannequin Pussy, Sweet Pill, Bodyweb, Blood Command, Swim School, Mother Vulture, ZAND, Knife Bride, Bambie Thug

I also don’t think we’re getting a headliner this month, mid February I think they will get their own announcement

Yeah that's definitely possible! And I agree that the above is too strong altogether - it's a combination of wishful thinking and listing a pool of bands who are around/suitable/unavailable. I'm sure we won't get all of them...

I'd take these in a heart beat. Add in Shikari as 3rd headliner.

If it's The Gaslight Anthem, Sleep Token and Frank Turner that'll be an instant buy for me. Can't see it being Shikari (which would also be legendary for me) as they're likely being announced for Download after their tour

Spanish Love Songs would be a bonus, only bummer is Boston Manor being on the Wednesday as I can't do that day this year

I love Frank but hope he doesn't take up a headline slot here. Would be happy if he headlined the Forest or Axiom with a duo or solo set.

I'd be over the moon if it's Sleep Token and Turnstile, quite happy if it's Shikari and disappointed if it's Neck Deep. Unfortunately I think the latter are most likely. Not like there's ever a shortage of alternatives regardless.

They might not be just Wednesday. Holding Absence and Bob Vylan did other days last year too

True would happily just have a solo/duo instead

The Sleeping Spuls have apparently all but confirmed Frank will be here. Unsure if it's full band or not though. Hopefully a 'special guest' slot if full band rather than outright main stage headliner.

ETA - see TRNSMT have announced a few more bands. Would be happy for most of the Sunday King Tut's stage line-up all appear here in some capacity.
