Are we likely to get another Announcement this year?

I don't think so unless they want to announce Sleep Token straight off the back of their Wembley show.

Hoping so. Last year there was an announcement end of November

We had an announcement at the end of this November, was small but the number of names is roughly the same as this time last year.

Thought that was just dream state being added on the Wednesday?

Been saying on their current tour they’re taking a long break to do their next album

Yeah heard them say that at the reading show.....but I've also heard other bands say that and still pop up at the odd festival the following year lol.

He did also say something along the lines of "hopefully see next year" at the end of the reading gig

Viagra Boys and The Hives just got added to STHLM fields on 6th July. Idk if they're the right size or not, but a Viagra Boys/Hives co headliner would be killer.

Hives would probably headline outright? Also, would absolutely smash a Trees closing set!

Unfortunately The Hives supporting Bloc Party at Crystal Palace is a UK exclusive performance.

There was quite a bit of crossover with Outbreak last year (and already some this year with Hot Mulligan / Gouge Away) so thinking/hoping we might get the likes of:

Balance and Composure

The Hotelier

Movements

Touche Amore

Soccer Mommy

TWIABP

Mannequin Pussy

Sweet Pill

Some possible but would be very surpriosed if Balance and Composure stay in Europe for two weeks. Band is in addition to their day jobs so I don't expect a 2 week European tour.

Really hoping for some of that Outbreak line-up to appear at Trees too like Mulligan. I'd love to get any of Balance and Composure, The Hoteliers, Thursday, TWIABP, Movements... Maybe I should just go to Outbreak instead! 😂 Wonder if any of them are UK exclusives? Angel Du$t playing so Turnstile could still be around.

Would love to see Basement back at Trees, they've not been for a few years now have they? That is a big slot at Outbreak though so I'm guessing that one could be exclusive as they aren't doing many shows these days (although I did see they are doing WWWY next year, good for them).

Would love Basement and Balance and Composure at Trees too 🤞🏻 Thought it would say if they are exclusive to outbreak but hoping for some separate UK dates!

Poison the Well are the only band that has been confirmed as exclusive to Outbreak (European one) at the moment but that was in a Facebook reply. Can see the following acts also at Trees:

Basement, Angel Du$t, Chat Pile, Fiddlehead, Mannequin Pussy, Show me the Body, Sweet Pill, The Hotelier, The World Is A Beautiful Place..., Thursday and Touche.

Would have added Balance & Composure but apparently they have 9-5 jobs still so can't see them touring Europe for a few weeks.

If Basement aren't an Outbreak exclusive then I can see them being at Trees. I always kinda struggle to gage their size though, would they headline?

Sure they were 3/4th down main stage last time they played and a similar position on the Cave the time before that. I'd be surprised if they were deemed Cave headliner in 2023, never mind main stage. Could see them as an Axiom headliner though and would very much enjoy seeing them on the lineup again.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
